The Old Copper Mines
Located in the hills a couple of miles to the south of Brookmouth proper.
Long tunnels and drop shafts run deep in the hills, dating from the early life of the town to the recent present, though there has been no active mining in the last decade.
The mines were critical to the evolution of Brookmouth from a pilgrim settlement into a prosperous centre.
The tunnels extend into the bedrock of the basin, which consists of a mix of sandstone and copper ore, of a purity rarely found in such quantities.
